Electricity Direction Pointer

The Component Electricity_Direction_Pointer

The component Electricity_Direction_Pointer does not represent a technical system, but is an auxiliary component through which (otherwise bidirectional) current flows can be directed in one direction, for example to prevent the electricity generated by a CHP from being fed into the grid of the Electricity Supplier.

Component Template

The Electricity_Direction_Pointer.e-ctpl component template is located in the Component template library folder Electricity Supply.

Integration Into a Scheme

How the Component Works

In the scheme above, both CHPs cover the Electricity Demand, but only CHP 1 may feed into the grid of the Electricity Supplier. The component Electricity Direction Pointer blocks the current flow from the CHP 2 to the Electricity Supplier.

In order to generally prevent feeding into the grid, do not use the component Electricity Direction Pointer, but set the Maximum Power Input (maximum feed-in power) to 0 in the Technical Input Data of the component Electricity Supplier.
This is numerically more advantageous for the project and saves superfluous components!

The input and output data of the component are limited to the Maximum power capacity in the Technical input data and the Supplied electric power in the Technical output data.
