Component Template
The Heat_Extraction_From_Steam.e-ctpl and Heat_Release_To_Steam.e-ctpl component templates are located in the Component template library folder Heat Transfer.
Integration Into a Scheme
The following figure shows an example for the integration of the components into a scheme, the variant Two-stage steam power process with reheating from tutorial 33.
How the Components Work
The component templates Heat Extraction From Steam and Heat Release To Steam are based on general models. Within an energy project, individual components can be generated from the component templates by specifying parameters in the forms (see following two figures).
Technical Input Data
If the heat exchangers are connected in such a way that a Heat Release To Steam component is connected to a Heat Extraction From Steam component check the Heat Transfer Steam to Steam checkbox in the Technical input data of the Heat Extraction From Steam component (see following figure).
In this case, the Special Features of the Material Model Steam determine the amount of heat to be transferred based on the demand. Any excess heat is displayed as Heat Loss in the Technical output data of the Heat Extraction From Steam component (see following figure).
