In this tutorial, the coverage of an electricity demand by means of a combined gas and steam turbine power process is considered.

Reference Case

In the reference case, an electricity demand is satisfied by a simple steam power process.

Variant With Heat and Power Cycle

The variant considers the investment in a gas turbine, whose waste heat is used instead of the boiler to generate the steam. The additional electricity generated is fed into the grid and remunerated.
