The Component Compression Refrigeration System
The component Compression Refrigeration System represents a universal model of a compression refrigeration system.
Component Template
The Compression_Refrigeration_System.e-ctpl component template is located in the Component template library folder Cooling Supply.
How the Component Works
A compression refrigeration machine supplies a cold flow (heat flow below the outside temperature) using electrical energy. The cold is transferred to the consumer in the evaporator. In the condenser, the working fluid is re-liquefied and the heat of condensation must be transferred to a re-cooling plant.
A new component dragged from the Component template library to the scheme looks like this:
In modeling without external heat exchanger, the heat exchanger is integrated into the component and therefore does not require any pins. The following figure shows the Technical input data.
External Recooling
For external recooling you can optionally insert two additional pins and connect a Dry Cooling Tower as cooler there (see the scheme above). Activate this function in the Technical input data by checking the box Modeling with external recooling. This expands the form by the section Heat carrier recooling (i.e., recooling heat transfer medium, see following figure).
Set the Coolant outlet temperature in the Technical input data.
The Technical output data contain the Coolant inlet temperature, the Temperature difference, the Volume– and Mass flow of the coolant (Heat carrier recooling).
