Concrete and Abstract
Whether the time axis is to be interpreted concretely or abstractly, is shown in the Properties window under Interpretation of Time Axis. You can change this property using the methods Make concrete and Make abstract.
The points in time of concrete time series are each defined by a calendar date and the time of a specific time zone.
The data points of abstract time series are only defined by the relative temporal distance to the start time 0 days 0:00:00 and not by concrete calendar data.
If concrete and abstract time series are displayed together in a Plot Window, the View is automatically set to Multiple X-Axis (time axis).
To compare the values of an abstract and a concrete time series, you can display each time series in a separate value table and place the value tables next to each other.
