Scaling
To scale the data values of a time series by a common scaling factor or to a common integral value, use the key combination <Ctrl>+<Shift>+<S>, the
symbol in the lower toolbar, or the menu items Methods → Change values → Scale (see following figure).
In the window that opens (see figure below), select a time series. A multiple selection is not possible.
Enter the Scale factor or the Integral value. A range from minus infinity to plus infinity can be used. The current integral value is preset.
Finally, select whether the existing time series should be overwritten with the scaled one or whether a new time series with the scaled values should be created additionally.
By executing the method, all data points of a time series are scaled together either by a scaling factor or to an integral value. For example, if the scaling factor is 10, all data values are multiplied by 10. The following figure illustrates schematically the scaling by the scaling factor 2.
