Time Series Preview
Time series can be displayed graphically in a preview. The preview appears in the Plot windows area. You make settings for this in the Plot window ribbon.
The Plot manager opens at the same time as the preview. Additionally, the Properties of each time series can be opened in a separate window.
The content of the Plot window area is not saved separately with the project. To save time series views, use the Time Series Interface component in combination with the ETA.
Time Series in the Plot Windows Area
You open the Plot windows area by clicking on the Plot preview icon
of a time series at the end of a row in the form (see the following figure) or in the context or pop up menu of the parameter in the Watchlist.
The
Plot preview button opens the selected time series in the Preview window. If there is already a time series in the Preview window, it will be replaced.
The Preview window can only display one time series at a time. The Preview window belongs to the Plot windows area by default. It cannot be closed separately.
In addition to the Preview window, you can open further plot windows in the Plot windows area with the Plot manager. In contrast to the Preview window, these plot windows can also contain several time series at the same time.
You can assign time series to an open plot window. To do this, select Add to plot window in the menu of the parameter containing the time series to be inserted and then select the plot window in which the time series is to be displayed (see following figure).
Hiding and Unhiding the Plot Windows Area
Use the
Plot window button in the Show group of the Home Ribbon to show and hide the Plot windows area and the Plot manager.
Gray Bars in the Plot
Gray bars in the plot preview indicate that no values are available at the corresponding points in time. Then no valid solution can be found for the operation of the energy system, or intensive properties are not calculated because the system is not in operation.
