This tutorial illustrates the functionality of the control components of the Operational Side Conditions, which restrict the operation of a component.
In order to reflect the volatile operation of the CHP due to fluctuating prices, the working and feed-in prices of the electricity were stored in the Electricity Tariff component in the form of a time series. This time series resolved in hourly steps contains the EEX price development for an example year. The purchase prices were increased by EUR 10/MWh in order to encourage self-consumption.
Reference Case: Operation Not Restricted
In the reference case, the operation of the CHP unit is not restricted, and an optimized mode of operation can be realized.
One Start per Day
In variant 1, the maximum Number of Starts per day is limited to one. It is therefore not possible to restart the CHP if a start has already been carried out.
Minimum Standstill Time
In variant 2, a minimum standstill time of 4 hours is specified for the CHP. This means that the system must not be restarted for four hours after switching off.
Maximum Load Change
In variant 3, the load change is limited. An electrical power increase of a maximum of 2 kW per hour is permitted in the CHP unit.
Limited Availability
In variant 4, a non-availability of the CHP due to a revision in September is stored as a time series.
