Creating a Simple Time Series Plot
Create a new plot window by right clicking on an empty space in the Plot Manager window. A context menu opens. There you can select the type of the new Plot Window (see following figure).

Now you can drag and drop one or more time series from the Project Explorer or a Data Grid (value table) directly onto the Plot Window or onto the corresponding entry in the Plot Manager.
If plot windows are already open, you can alternatively assign a time series to them by selecting Add to plot window from the time series context menu in the Project Explorer and selecting the corresponding Plot Window (see following figure).
Close a Plot Window
A Plot Window is closed by clicking on the small cross in the upper right corner or via the context menu in the Plot Manager with 
Close plot window (see following slider).
Color and Shape of the Graph
The shape and size of the data points, the color, and the interpolation type of the plot can be defined for each time series in the lower toolbar (see the following slider).
The following slider shows examples of the different interpolation types.
Time Axis and Value Axis Single and Multiple
The time and value axis can be defined both single and multiple times. Change the setting under the menu items View → X-Axis (or Y-Axis) → Single or Multiple.
With multiple axis view, the axis label is displayed for the time series selected in the Plot Manager.
With a multiple value axis, different values and the corresponding units can be displayed in a plot in detail in their temporal correlation.
A multiple time axis is automatically set so that the time series on top of each other are completely displayed in one window. The resolution of the multiple time axes of a Plot Window is the same, so that identical time periods with different dates and times can be compared with each other (see following slider).
The use of the zoom functions and scrolling on the time axis affect all time axes of the plot window equally.
Zoom
After clicking in the plot window, the mouse wheel can be used to zoom in and out on the plot while holding down the <Ctrl> key.
The zoom level icons in the top toolbar make zooming easier:
Zoom in,
Zoom out,
Zoom to 100 % of the curve,
Zoom to one minute,
Zoom to ten minutes,
Zoom to one hour,
Zoom to one day,
Zoom to seven minutes,
Zoom to one month,
Zoom to one year.
Empty Values as Gray Bars in the Plot
If gray bars appear in the time series plot as in the following figure, they indicate empty data points (NaNs). Detailed information about this can be found in the linked article.
