Changing the Sample Time (equally spaced time series)
To change the sample time of an equally spaced time series, use the entries in the menu bar Methods → Change time series properties → Change sample time (equally spaced time series), see the following figure.
Alternatively use the context menu of the time series in the Project Explorer to select Methods → Change time series properties → Change length of last sample (unequally spaced time series), see the following figure.
In the window that opens (see the following figure), select the time series to be processed using the Select time series button. Multiple selection is possible.
Determine the Time Step size and the corresponding Unit.
Select whether you want to overwrite the existing time series with a modified last time step or whether you want to create a new time series.
The original time series is compressed (see following figure) or stretched using this method.
The following example shows the change of the time step length from one hour of the original time series to 20 minutes and two hours.
