Exporting a Scheme

Scheme export

The graphical representation of a project, the scheme, can be saved as a graphic file or inserted into a target application via the clipboard using copy-and-paste.

Exporting as Graphic File

The scheme can be saved as a graphic file in PNG, TIF, TIFF, or EMF format using the Scheme button in the Project ribbon in the Export group.

Exporting via Clipboard

The Scheme is exported to another application via the clipboard in two steps: firstly, selection, and secondly, copy and paste.

Select Contents

Click on the scheme and use the key combination <Ctrl>+<A> to select the entire contents of the scheme, including inserted drawing elements, graphics, and text fields.

To make a purposeful selection of the elements to be exported, use the mouse to draw a rectangular frame around the elements to be marked. Alternatively, hold down the <Shift> key and left-click only the components to be marked.

Even if the net lines are not marked with selectors, the net lines connected with selected components are still selected.

Copy and Paste

To export the scheme, copy the contents of the scheme to the clipboard. Then paste them into the required application.
Press <Ctrl>+<C> to copy the selected items and then press <Ctrl>+<V> to paste it into the destination application (such as an image editor or word processor like Paint, Microsoft Word, or Power Point). The graphic can then be saved in the desired file format. The scheme is exported as a vector graphic with a transparent background. The exported graphic is therefore arbitrarily scalable. It can then be saved in the desired file format.
