Watchlist

Watchlist

The Watchlist of individually compiled parameters is optionally displayed. The Watchlist helps you to get a quick overview of certain parameters of the project. The values in the Watchlist are updated automatically: Input data immediately after changing and Output data after the simulation. Calculated values are displayed in blue. You can export the Watchlist as a CSV or TXT file.

The order structure of the Watchlist follows the project structure as it is reflected in the Project explorer. The added parameters are arranged in it. As in the Project explorer, the levels can be shown and hidden in the tree by clicking on + and -.

Showing

Activate and deactivate the Watchlist display with the Watchlist button in the Show group of the Home ribbon. By default, the Watchlist is displayed to the right of the forms. It can be dragged and dropped freely on your monitors even outside the TOP-Energy window.

The watchlist contains the project structure with all nodes first. You can Clear the watchlist via the menu button of the project node (top node of the watchlist).

Compiling

Use the context or pop-up menu of a parameter in the form to Add it to the watchlist (see the following figure).

If you want to display all selected parameters of a component or a Simulation node for another, similarly structured Simulation node in the watchlist, you do not need to add each individual parameter again. Simply copy the component or simulation node to the target node within the Watchlist using drag-and-drop. While moving, the small black plus sign indicates where the copied element can be inserted. If the parameters are available in the target node (or the target component), they are then also displayed in the watchlist.

Removing and Display Options

You can Remove a parameter from the watchlist as you have added it: via the context or pop-up menu of the parameter in the form (see the following figure).

Or use the context menu of a parameter in the Watchlist to Remove it from the watchlist (see the following figure).

The pop-up menu (identical to the context menu of the parameter and accessible via the button) allows changing of the Unit, Showing the parameter in the form, for time series (accessible via the button) displaying it in the Plot preview and Adding it to a plot window in the Plot windows area.

Export

You can export the Watchlist in the form of a CSV or a TXT file with comma-separated values. To do this, use the button Watchlist in the group Export of the Project ribbon (see the following figure).
