User Interface Sections
When starting TOP-Energy, the user interface has the following sections:
Later, other windows are added, e.g., the Plot manager is opened below the Component template library when time series are previewed, the Plot window area with the plot preview appears below the forms, the Watch list, Component database, and Properties of time series can be displayed on the right side of the form area (see following figure).
The Plot window and the Properties of time series are also opened in the workspace (see the following figure).
The Watchlist and Component database are optionally displayed in the work space.
Drag-and-Drop of the Windows
The windows of the Project explorer, Component template library, Scheme, forms, Watchlist, Component database, Plot manager, Plot window area, and Properties (of time series) can be moved with the mouse by drag-and-drop. To do this, click in the title bar of the window or on the tab of the form and move the window to the desired location while holding down the mouse button.
While moving within the TOP-Energy window, the potential docking area is displayed with a transparent blue bar (see following figure).
The following figure shows an example of how a form and a scheme can be arranged.
Help/Documentation
The small blue circular icon with the question mark
at the top right above the ribbons opens the online documentation of the currently active element.
Status Bar
At the bottom of the TOP-Energy user interface is the status bar, which displays the status of the current action, e.g., the coordinates of the current position of the mouse pointer in the scheme.
