Time Series Container

Using the Time Series Container

The raw data Time Series Container is the place where you can store any number of time series in the project. From there, you can transfer the time series to individual parameters in the project using drag-and-drop. You can use the Time Series Container to exchange time series between different projects.

The Time Series Container is in the Project explorer. It is empty by default. You can store any number of time series belonging to a TOP-Energy project, e.g., raw data like unadjusted original time series, here. The use of the Time Series Container is optional. You can let the result time series of the Parameter study be saved automatically in the Time Series Container.

Adding Time Series to the Time Series Container

You can add time series from the components in TOP-Energy and in the ETA to the Time Series Container of a project.

From the Component Form

Assign a time series to the Time Series Container by selecting Add to Time Series Container in the pop-up menu or context menu of the parameter (see following figure).t

If you want to add several time series with the same name from different components to the Time Series Container, change the name after inserting them into the Time Series Container using the  Rename context menu item in the Project explorer (see following figure).

From the ETA

By double-clicking Time Series Container in the Project explorer, you open it as a project in the ETA. There you can add any time series by drag-and-drop and then delete them again via the context menu in the ETA. Then you have to transfer the data to TOP-Energy.The raw data time series are not visible individually in the TOP-Energy project, they can only be opened in the ETA.
