How the Component Works
The component template Concentrating Solar Collector is based on a generally valid model of solar thermal collector with a high Concentration factor. Within an energy project, an individual component can be created from the component template by entering characteristic values in the forms. For solar collektors without high concentration factor, use the component template Solar Collector.
The Concentrating Solar Collector component obtains the environmental data for measuring solar radiation from the Solar Radiation component and, if applicable, from the project master data.
The angles of tilt (here called Elevation) and Azimuth are to be entered in degrees without selecting a unit in the unit field. TOP-Energy converts degrees into radians. In the Parameter study the unit field for the angles also remains empty.
