Editing Data in the Value Table
Data points of a value table can be edited and deleted using the menu bar (the Edit menu item), the toolbar of the Data Grid and the context menu (see following figure).
The times can only be deleted or added.
Edit Data Point
Values can also be inserted directly into a value table by copy and paste. Existing values are overwritten. If values are inserted at the end of a time series, the time series is extended according to the number of inserted data points.
A selected data value can be overwritten directly in the Data Grid (see following figure).
Alternatively, select a value to be changed and
- use the key combination <Ctrl>+<E> or
- select
Edit data point
- via the Edit menu bar item,
- in the toolbar of the Data Grid, or
- in the context menu (see following figure).
The following window for editing a data point opens.
It displays the date, time, and value of the data point to be edited. The value of the data point can be edited.
While the data points of an unequally spaced time series can be given a new date and time here, the date and time of the data points of an equally spaced time series are deactivated and cannot be changed.
Edit data point, only one value is displayed in the dialog. If you change this value all previously selected values are overwritten with this value. Deleting Values
Select the data to be deleted in the value table while holding down the <Shift> key and use the <Delete> key or the entry 
Delete data point (in the toolbar of the value table, in the context menu, or via the menu bar entry Edit).
If values are deleted in the value table, this step cannot be undone. The following warning appears:
Not all data points of a time series can be deleted because a time series requires at least two data points. If all data points of a time series have been marked for deletion the last two data points are not deleted and a warning appears.
The behavior of the time points during deletion is different for equally spaced and unequally spaced time series.
Unequally Spaced Time Series
If a data value of an unequally spaced time series is deleted the time is also deleted. The entire data point is eliminated. The following data point keeps its original time and value. If a data point is omitted the time step size increases at this point.
Equally Spaced Time Series
If values of an equally spaced time series are deleted the corresponding time points are not deleted. The data values following the deleted data values move up on the timeline to the times of the deleted values. The time points at the end of the time series that no longer have any data values due to the shift are deleted.
Inserting Values
Select the value in the value table under which the additional data points are to be inserted.
Select 
Insert data point or use the key combination <Ctrl>+<I>.
In the window that opens, specify the number of data points to be inserted. Data points are inserted in the specified number and each is filled with the previously marked value.
For unequally spaced time series, decide whether the following data points should be moved to have room to insert, or whether the additional data points should be fitted at equal distances between the selected and the following data point.
With equally spaced time series, the following data points are always shifted regardless of this setting.
