Functions of the Project Ribbon
The ribbon with the tab label Project (see following figure) is used to open, update, save, and close projects; export data; and make time series settings.
The Project ribbon is divided into the following groups:
Project
The group Project contains the following functions. Alternatively, they can be called up using the specified key combinations.
New (<Ctrl>+<N>) Create new project.
Save (<Ctrl>+<S>) Save current project.
Save as Select storage location and save the project in the file format for TOP-Energy projects *.te-proj there.
Open (<Ctrl>+<O>)
Open a project from the Windows explorer or select a recently used project from the drop-down list of the split button and open it.
Close poject (<Ctrl>+<W>) Close current project.
Export
The Export group allows you to save the scheme as a graphic file and the project data as Word or Excel files.
Using the
Scheme button you can save the scheme as a graphic file in PNG, TIFF, or EMF formats.
Use the
Watchlist button to export the parameters recorded in the Watchlist as comma-separated values in a CSV or TXT file.
The
Word split button opens the drop-down list in which the data report or–if the project contains at least one Variant comparison node–the Variant comparison report can be selected as the report form.
The
Excel split button allows the Export of the variant comparison calculations.
The three ways to export data to Word and Excel files are presented in the article Generating Reports.
Time Series Settings
General settings for new time series and for the imported weather data are to be made in the group Settings for new time series. These time series settings are applied to the ETA when the ETA is opened from the TOP-Energy project.
In the drop-down list at the top, select the Time zone. Specify the Sample time in hours (h), minutes (min), days (d), or years (a) and the Year.
The Sample time is only adopted for new time series and is not taken into account in the weather data import.
The time zone and the Year are used for newly created time series as well as for weather data import.
The time zone and the Year of the project are also adopted on request if you drag a time series in the project explorer of the ETA onto a time series of the TOP-Energy project to replace the project time series.
Refresh
The
Update button updates the project with all components to the latest version without changing the entered data.
The button
Clean up deletes unused time series and thus reduces the storage capacity required for the project.
