Function
The forms are used for input and output of data. Forms are available for components (in the following figure: CHP), module and project nodes. They are divided into different tabs and sub-tabs.
Position in the User Interface
In the default configuration, the forms are displayed in the workspace to the right of the Project explorer and the Component template library. The form is marked by the large orange frame in the figure above.
A maximum of one form and one scheme are opened in the workspace. Use the tabs to switch between the scheme view and the form view.
You can also view the scheme and a form at the same time by dragging and dropping them next to or below each other. To do this, click on the tab and move the window to the desired position until a blue docking field appears. By dragging and dropping the windows, you can change the position and size of the forms.
Opening the Forms
You open a form from the Project explorer by a left click on a
component, the
project, or a module node (
Simulation,
Variant analysis,
Variant comparison, or
Parameter study). In each case the form of the component or node is opened, from which the form view is invoked.
The component forms can also be opened from the Scheme view by double-clicking the corresponding component. You can get back to the Scheme by clicking
Scheme in the Project explorer or on the Scheme tab in the workspace.
Forms Settings
In the Forms group of the Home ribbon (see the following figure), settings for the forms can be made: the

the modeling mode for Editing output data can be switched on and off.
In the Options menue, which you open via the Extras ribbon, the Settings group, and the
