The Component Heating Battery Electrical
The Heating_Battery_Electrical component represents a system for heating the air using electrical energy.
Component Template
The Heating_Battery_Electrical.e-ctpl component template is located in the Component template library folder HVAC Systems.
Integration Into a Scheme
Please note the Special Features of the HVAC Components. The following figure shows an example of how to integrate the component into a scheme.
The Heating Battery follows the Cooling Battery and precedes the Humidifier. The upper pin is used to connect to the red electricity net with the material model MM_Electricity.
How the Component Works
The electricity is used to heat the air in order to ensure the Air temperature specified in the Air Demand component at the inlet.
Input Data
You can Limit the outlet temperature in the Technical input data (see following figure).
For Constant efficiency, enter the Nominal thermal power in kW and also either the Nominal conversion ratio (Nominal thermal efficiency) or the Nominal driving power (Nominal electrical power demand in kW). Alternatively, enter the values for the electrical Power demand and the Thermal power (in kW) in the table for the Absolute characteristic or the values for the Relative electrical power demand and the Relative thermal power [kw/kw_max] for the Relative characteristic.
