Air Demand

The Component Air Demand

The Air Demand component represents the demand for incoming room air at a specific temperature.

Component Template

The Air_Demand.e-ctpl component template is located in the Component template library folder HVAC Systems.

Integration Into a Scheme

Please note the Special Features of the HVAC Components. The following figure shows an example of how to integrate the component into a scheme.

Specify the desired humidity (the Mixing ratio) in the Dehumidifier and Humidifier components, which must be placed before the Air Demand in the scheme.

How the Component Works

Use the Air_Demand component to specify the desired Air temperature in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. Specify the air temperature required for conditioning at the building inlet in °C [´degC], for example, also as a time series if required.

You can specify the Standard volume flow as a Firmly specified demand (e.g., in m3/h, optionally as a time series, see the following figure) or limit it as Minimum and Maximum standard volume flow and calculate it as an optimized Variable demand as a degree of freedom of the optimization (see the figure after next).

The Technical output data contain the Consumed standard air flow according to DIN 1343, theVolume flow, Mass flow, and Humidity (see following figure).
