The component Compressed Air Demand represents a universal model for a common compressed air demand.

Integration Into a Scheme
How the Component Works
The Compressed Air Demand can be calculated in the optimization. To do this, select Variable demand (will be optimized) in the drop-down list, see the following figure.
Alternatively, you can specify the Standard volume flow normally, linearly to the inlet pressure or the pressure difference or in quadratic dependence on the pressure difference (see the following two figures).
The pressure difference is the difference between the pressure at the design point and during operation.
