Synchronizing Plot Windows

Synchronizing Plot Windows

Synchronize plot windows with the menu items View → Synchronize all plot windows or with the icon in the upper toolbar. The following figure shows unsynchronized plot windows with different times on the time axes.

When the plot windows are synchronized the symbol lock is closed: (see following figure).

Clicking the lock symbol again cancels the synchronization and the time series are automatically zoomed so that they are displayed completely in their plot window.

The previous figure shows the synchronized plot windows. The time axes have the same points in time.

If synchronization is activated all plot windows show the same time period. This also applies if the displayed period is changed in a plot window. When zooming in or out, when moving on the timeline to the right or left, and when using the zoom levels in the top toolbar the visible section is always changed synchronously in all plot windows at the same time if the plot windows are synchronized.

The synchronization always refers to all plot windows and not to selected plot windows.

Synchronized plot windows are arranged one below the other.

Windows lying side by side are not displayed synchronously.
