Electricity Tariff Germany

The Component Electricity Tariff Germany

The component Electricity Tariff Germany represents a typical German electricity tariff structure.

Component Template

The Electricity_Tariff_Germany.e-ctpl component template is located in the Component template library folder Electricity Supply.

Integration Into a Scheme

Connect the Electricity Tariff component with its bipins in the correct direction: the pin on the left side with the electricity pylon icon to the supplier, i.e., to the grid, and the right pin on the side with the lightning bolt icon to the demand or consumer. The correct direction of the connections is crucial for cost accounting, because the flow of electricity through the tariff component from left to right is counted as supply, while the flow from right to left is counted as feed-in. Accordingly, the data from the two separate forms for Supply and Feed-in are evaluated.

How the Component Works

The pins of the component Electricity Tariff Germany are bidirectional. They are able to map both the electricity consumption and the electricity feed-in. The Input and Output data forms of the component are each divided into the tabs for Supply and Feed-In (see following figures). The information on the tariff components and specifically on the Electricity Tariff applies.

The energy price (in EUR/kWh) is made up of various components, such as Working price, Renewable Energies Act levy, Cogeneration levy, and Electricity tax. If necessary, time series, e.g., for stock market prices, can be specified. The Working price in the input data does not include the Energy costs, which are shown below the Working price. The Gross working price in the output data includes the energy-dependent costs shown in addition to the working price, but not the Demand charge and the Basic charge (Base price).

On the feed-in side, enter the Feed-in revenue (feed-in tariff FIT), the Charges for avoided grid usage (German abbreviation: vNNE), and the Performance price for avoided grid usage.

The annual performance price (Demand price per year) can be specified for the Supply (purchase) in EUR/a kW, for example.

Output Data

The individual Supply and Feed-In costituents of the tariff are offset against the energy flows during the simulation. The results are displayed in the Output data of the component (see following slider) and transferred to the Variant.

Avoiding peak loads is not part of the objective function. The Performance charge  (in EUR/a) is determined after the simulation and displayed in the Output data. For this purpose, the Demand price (annual performance price) is multiplied by the power peak of the simulation period determined during the operational optimization.

Variant

In the Variant node, after its execution, the sums of the Electricity costs and the Electricity revenues are displayed at the top and the individual components at the bottom of the Variant form. A pie chart illustrates this additionally (see following figure).
