This tutorial uses time-dependent heat and electricity demands. The data are stored hourly, it is also simulated in hourly steps. Thus the simulation is performed over 8760 time steps. The results are accordingly also time-dependent.
To display the time-dependent data, either the plot window or the ETA can be used. The plot with the stored data can be found in the respective component (see following figure).
New time series can also be added at the same point. If a time series is stored, it can be opened in the plot window (see following figure).
By default, the plot window displays the stored values above the time axis.
More time series plots are available via the Plot window ribbon, the Plot manager, or the ETA.

In tutorial 05, the country-specific electricity and gas tariffs are used for the first time, which represent the price structure of electricity and gas in Germany.
Reference Case
A simple energy system with two boilers (100 kW and 50 kW) represents the Reference Case.
Variant CHP
In the CHP variant, the smaller boiler from the reference case is replaced by a CHP unit with a Nominal thermal capacity of 60 kW.
Variant CHP and Storage
In the CHP & Storage variant, the system from the CHP variant is supplemented by a storage unit with a capacity of 500 kWh.
