The Component Time_Series_ImportExport
With the Time_Series_ImportExport component, it is possible to automatically import time series into TOP-Energy and export them from TOP-Energy without having to open ETA every time.
This is useful, for example, when TOP-Energy has to optimize operations on the basis of daily changing boundary conditions such as EEX prices or weather data.
Component Template
The Time_Series_ImportExport.e-ctpl component template is located in the Component template library folder Others.
Several copies of the Time_Series_ImportExport component can be included in a scheme in order to store different import and export configurations.
How the Component Works
Using the Time_Series_ImportExport component, you can create a TOP-Energy Import-Macro and a TOP-Energy Export-Template in ETA, store them in the TOP-Energy project and execute them later without having to restart ETA.
In the form of the Time_Series_ImportExport component, there are initially only two
ETA buttons: one for the Import Configuration and one for the Export Configuration (see the first figure in the following slider). These buttons must be used to open ETA to create a TOP-Energy Import-Macro or a TOP-Energy Export-Template. This is how the connection between TOP-Energy and ETA is established.
This allows the new configuration to be saved and displayed in the TOP-Energy project.
If several configurations are to be created ETA must be closed in between.
If an import or an export configuration is stored in the component, two additional buttons for executing and deleting the configuration appear behind the corresponding ETA button (see the second figure in the following slider).
The exact procedure for creating a TOP-Energy Import-Macro and a TOP-Energy Export-Template is described in the two linked articles.
