The Component Fresh Air

The Fresh Air component represents a model for the ambient air supplied to the technical process.

Component Template

The Fresh_Air.e-ctpl component template is located in the Component template library folders Fuel Supply and HVAC Systems.

Integration Into a Scheme

The pins for connecting the Fresh Air component are only displayed on the connected technical components, such as Hot Water Boilers or CHP units, if the fuel pin is connected to the net and the Fuel material model Considering composition is selected.

How the Component Works

The component template Fresh Air is used to enable a combustion calculation.

The operation of the Fresh Air component is demonstrated in the tutorials 33 and 51.

Input Data

The Environmental conditions are linked to the project’s Weather data. You can specify the Ambient humidity as Relative humidity or as Mixing ratio.

You can also specify the Mole fraction of O2, N2, CO2, and SO2 in the dry air.

Output Data

The Output data contain the calculated Fresh air standard volume flow and the Mole fractions of O2, N2, CO2, H2O, and SO2 in the delivered humid Fresh air and the Standard volume flow and Temperature of the air emitted to the environment.
